• Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Work under the general supervision and guidance of a dentist
• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient
• Educate patients in oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment
• Take X-rays and save them to patient charts
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the hygiene bays and operatory rooms
• Prepare tray set-ups for dental procedures
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
• Assist professional dental staff with treatment
• Document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in patient chart
• Assist with suctioning and holding hand-pieces/props during procedures
• Responsible for adhering to all government regulations and company standards
• Provide chair-side assistance to the Dentist during dental examinations and treatment
• Assist with presenting and/or explaining treatment plans
• Maintain a high level of customer service at all times
• Work as part of a team with emphasis on communication and respect for one another

NOTE: Willing to work at either location, as it can vary - Short Pump or Mechanicsville

• Preferred qualifications:
  
• Completion of a DA certification program
• 2+ years of experience as a DA
• CPR and X-Ray Certified
